throw up When it comes to natural remedies, I don’t follow any one school of thought. Instead, I’m a fan of doing whatever is simple to remember that WORKS.

The Throw-Up Button is one of those wonderful things. It’s easy to learn how to do, easy enough to administer on yourself or someone else in a pinch, and it’s super-effective.

Some people prefer to “just get it over with”…but others absolutely hate vomiting and prefer to avoid it at all costs.

If you’re one of the latter group, the Throw-Up Button is a fantastic trick!

Now, I know acupressure and acupuncture are ancient, well-renowned and complex systems, and I don’t wish to belittle or detract from those disciplines at all. I’m also fully aware that some things are better off out than in. I’m not trained in acupressure–but I do love this particular technique. It’s simple and it works.

I first learned of the Throw-Up Button in a fantastic book of natural remedies called Gentle Healing for Baby and Child.

You can get it on Amazon – in fact, I should probably get another copy too. Mine is in tatters from being so well-used over the years. I think I bought mine in 2001..

Here’s a video that shows exactly how to use the Throw-Up Button:

This technique will work even if you’re dry heaving, on the brink of hurling gas-station tacos all over your friend’s new Jeep interior.

It’s fantastic for the morning sickness so common in pregnancy, and it can be used on children of all ages, too (preferably with the child’s awareness and consent).

The Throw-Up Button involves acupressure point CV22, but the video shows how to stimulate the point slightly on the right, instead of dead-on. This seems to be more effective. (Again, I’m not a trained acupuncturist! Just sharing a technique that works.)

Try it out now to learn how it’s done. That way, maybe the Throw-Up Button will spring to mind later, at a a time when you’d really rather not throw up!
