Off Grid Cabin
Dick Proenneke lived in the mountains in Alaska and built an off grid cabin with his bare hands. In this video, he documents his time spent building the spectacular off the grid cabin from the ground up.
He and his partner even logged all of the trees used to build the cabin. Built from 1967 to 1968, the cabin served as Proenneke’s primary residence for thirty years. In that time he furnished the house on his own and used it as his base of operations for his outdoor off the grid lifestyle.
