Homesteading Goes Hip-Hop with Gardening is Gangsta Music Video

Austin hip-hop artist and Reiki Master Mark Jankins has released a new music video titled “Gardening is Gangsta”. The song features kung-fu Master Sifu Paul Davis, who shares Jankins’ passion for waking up young people to the importance of food quality and food sovereignty.

Most young people eat what is quick and easy. Fast food, processed food, packaged food, etc… Jankins is on a mission to change that, starting in Austin, Texas. “By teaching young people how to grow their own food, you’re giving them the power to create. Even the biggest of trees started off as just a seed”, said Jankins.

Wake Up the Youth

By planting philosophical seeds in the mind of youth, Jankins hopes to fundamentally shift culture toward true health and wellness. Practices like Tai Chi, yoga, and meditation are the foundation of Jankins’ world view, and he encourages young people to get involved.

“I believe the first step to fighting back is through the detoxification and alkalization of your own body along with exercise yoga and tai chi to help build a mind muscle connection which will lead to an awakening inside your mind”.  -Mark Jankins

Jankins also owns a company called Magik Kosha that sells the super-food Kratom and soursop leaves and is an independent distributor for doTERRA essential oils. He believes through detoxification and nourishment we can overcome the health epidemic found in Western societies.
