Hydroponic systems sound like something only expert level gardeners would work with, but luckily we are living in the age of information, and we can learn just about anything online. As technology improves we allow ourselves to work smarter not harder, giving us more time to tend to other projects or spend time with family and friends. This DIY Hydroponic A-Frame build is a great choice for any gardener looking to get the most bang for their buck, and a good harvest for their space.

Only taking up a 6 by 10 foot space, you could be harvesting all 168 plants soon after you complete this project. The Hydroponic A-frame build is going to give you best results when growing small plants or herbs like lettuce, strawberries, basil, or radishes. Due to it’s unique vertical layout, you won’t be breaking your back trying to pick your berries or clip your herbs. I will leave a video at the end to help guide you through this process. Let’s get started!

This is great! Any suggestions on what to plant besides basil? I’m looking for high-yield producing veg that will fit in this system.

[…] A-frame farming is also called the pseudo vertical method. It is similar in theory to NFT, except that the plants are grown in a set-up with the pipes in an A-shaped rack. The incline helps with the needed gravitational force but limits the height of the frame. To build an A- frame system, check out https://thehomestead.guru/hydroponic-aframe/ […]
