Chia Seeds are a source of dietary fiber and Omega-3 fatty acids when eaten raw. They are also a source of protein. WHen the seeds encounter fluid, a gel is formed around the seed, which makes them useful as a thickening ingredient in a variety of foods, including cereals and smoothies. Sprinkle on salads or desserts, make chia pudding, add to drinks, or eat plain.
