Kratom is a member of the coffee family, and is a plant used across the globe to relieve stress, increase energy, sooth pain, and is even reported to help people get off opiates such as Heroin.

According to the very conservative WebMD,

As a medicine, kratom is used for anxiety, cough, depression, diabetes, diarrhea, high blood pressure, pain, to improve sexual performance, and to lessen symptoms of opiate withdrawal.

Today, the DEA posted for public comment a notice that they are withdrawing the intent to schedule Kratom and will accept comment through December 1st.

TheHomestead.Guru called the DEA to confirm that this is accurate, and they confirmed that tomorrow you will find this .pdf on the federal register.

The DEA’s reversal on their intent to schedule Kratom as Schedule One is a huge win for natural medicine and home remedies. This means that people in pain will continue to have a natural substance to treat their pain, and can remain off substances like Oxycontin.

It is also a testament to the power of public outrage. While we do not generally support political action as a solution to our problems in society, if you can get ahead of the curve (IE: before a law or regulation goes into place) it is possible that you can change the course of history.

If you want to try this substance for yourself, many websites had stopped selling due to the fear of the DEA scheduling the plant at any moment. Buy yours today at our sister site, Brave Botanicals.

To be clear, they are soliciting a report from the FDA about Kratom and may change their mind at a future date.
