About a year ago, I decided to give up alcohol.
I wasn’t a big drinker since becoming a mother, but I felt like the impact on my productivity, physical, and emotional health wasn’t in alignment with the path that I was on. Even one glass of wine or a beer would impact my sleep that night and my mood the next day.
I tried it a couple times since quitting and it was always the same outcome. Poor sleep, decreased dreaming, and overall irritability, anxiety, and brain fog the next day. That’s from no more than 1 or 2 drinks! Not worth it.
But what about social situations?

I’ve found that people get uncomfortable if you’re not drinking. And sometimes I miss the social aspect of it and the ritual of relaxing with a drink.
Luckily I’ve found some great, alcohol free cocktails that are perfect for overall mind and body wellness!

These are my absolute favorite. I like to add a splash of Seltzer water so it’s similar to a michelada.
This one is not exactly “healthy”.
I’d leave out the sugar and soda and make with honey, Seltzer, and real ginger.
